Venice Residency/Studio Practice 2019

Venice 2019  – Workshop/Residency/Art Collective

“Symphonie de couleurs III”

between the devil and the deep blue lagoon”
October 1 – 13 – 2019

Workshop/Studio Practice & Exhibition in Parallel with 58th Venice Biennale

This Interdisciplinary intensive workshop/residency is centered on producing a body of work which concludes with an exhibition in Venice that parallels the 58th Venice Biennale.

The Workshop/Residency topic “Symphonie de couleurs III between the devil and the deep blue lagoon” takes place simultaneously at the Venice Biennale, has the specific purpose to promote new artists; promotion that can and must be submitted to disseminate the knowledge of their work to qualified partners in the industry. The exhibition and the studio practice will be leaded by the curator Carlo Francesco Galli, president of Artouverture and creative director of exhibitions in all over Italy, expert of Contemporary Art and Art critic. This Art Collective wants to be a LIVING FOR ART, a promotional engine with precise dissemination purposes. In fact frequently complain about lack of attention and little knowledge of contemporary art.  For the reasons listed above, among other opportunities, has been chosen as the venue Palazzo Merati: a space that is a typical Venetian salon refers to the time of Giacomo Casanova (after all one of the rooms still has an alcove that the history and Legend takes being the scene of the great lover)

During the workshop three participants will be selected, thanks to the support of ArtOvertoure Association, to take part with their artworks to a collective exhibition with one artwork each, in Palazzo Merati until the end of October 2019.

About the 58th Biennial of Art

58th International Art Exhibition, titled May You Live In Interesting Times, will take place from 11 May to 24 November 2019 (Pre-opening on 8, 9, 10 May). The title is a phrase of English invention that has long been mistakenly cited as an ancient Chinese curse that invokes periods of uncertainty, crisis and turmoil; “interesting times”, exactly as the ones we live in today.
